The first of its kind in Scotland , the St. Enoch Shopping Centre was officially opened in 1989 and has since positioned itself as one of the city's major retail destinations, much loved by the people of Glasgow and beyond.
St. Enoch Centre (www.stenoch.co.uk ) managed and owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge, is located in the heart of Glasgow 's busy city-centre shopping district - the largest retail market in the United Kingdom outside central London .
The Centre currently features 750,000 square feet of retail space and attracts an estimated 18 - 20 million visitors per year.
Ambitious plans to spend £100 million on a major redevelopment and refurbishment programme will include adding 250,000 square feet of retail and leisure space, taking the Centre to over one million square feet and transforming it into one of the largest city centre shopping and leisure centres in the UK .
The redevelopment will dovetail with plans already in place to regenerate Glasgow's waterfront, the St. Enoch Quarter and main city centre areas, intended to transform the city into a major tourist destination.
The St. Enoch Centre caters for all age groups and shopping tastes and is home to an impressive range of global brand names, independent retailers and department stores, including Debenhams, BHS, Boots, Burton, Virgin, HMV and The Disney Store.
In addition, the Centre is home to a bright and modern foodcourt, offering an array of food options. With seating for over 850 people it's also Scotland's largest food court so finding a seat need never be a problem again!
The Centre also benefits from up to 750 car parking spaces.
